The Web Design Process
What to expect when we work together!
1.
ENQUIRE
The first step is to complete a design enquiry with me, so I can get to know the project more. I will then get in touch with a rough quote and a booking calendar.
2.
CHIN WAG
Next, we have a little Zoom chat to discuss further details. From this call, I can then send over a formal proposal with a plan of action.
3.
THE DESIGN
Once the proposal is accepted, I go away and work on a first draft! We'll then have a period of feedback via a feedback portal.
4.
THE LAUNCH
I support you in linkng up domains, setting up SEO & getting your new website out to the big wild world! Hooray!
Small Tasks
I've spent many days, hours and years with my head in Wix. This means I am pretty darn nifty at fixing common issues, troubleshooting & setting up websites to ensure that are running at their optimum level. I know not everyone needs a brand new website from scratch, and sometimes all they are looking for is some tweaking!

Why do you build your websites on Wix?I am all about simplicity...and Wix offers just that! After we work together, I want you to feel empowered in knowing how to make basic edits to your own site whenever you wish, and so the editor being simple for you to use it important to me. Wix uses a drag and drop system that makes edits a simple click of a button. They also have award winning customer service available for all users.

Do you offer payments plans?I don't offer payment plans in the sense that you can spread the cost, however for my full bespoke packages I do take the full project payments in two parts which makes it a little easier for your cash flow. The first 50% is given when you receive my agreement terms and have signed, and the final 50% is paid to me as the last step before going live! I do understand that times are tough, and some of the bigger investments in our business can feel mahoosive. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss options if this is you! 😄

Any hidden costs I should know about?My design prices include just that...my design! You also have to consider your yearly Wix hosting fee (this can be paid monthly, yearly, or 2 yearly). Prices vary depending on what you want your website to do and how complex it is, but you can check out the latest Wix website fees here. Working with me means you get 50% off of the annual fees! You will also need to purchase your domain, either through Wix or through another domain marketplace, such a Go Daddy. I can walk you through both this process, and the Wix hosting process during the project.

I am clueless at tech - will we still be able to work together?Absolutely - in fact, you are my dreamiest of dream clients. You have your wonderful talents that I awe at, but building websites on Wix is my jam! My entire approach is all about transparency and simplicity, and there is no question too silly. Wix is a wonderful platform for the technically challenged which is exactly why I use it. The process of building the website and gathering information I need from you (see other FAQ), as well as launching and you being empowered to edit once live is all part of the deal. So tech dino's are absolutely welcome to this nerd-fest.

Do you do "facelifts" on existing Wix sites that need some TLC?Absolutely! I offer ad-hoc hourly Wix sessions, where I can review your site and add my magic touch to bring it to the next level! Or if you need a certain task doing on your website, I can also make that happen. My hourly rate is £50 an hour, and I will propose the amount of hours before we start working together.
